The only lights I have on when stationary on the hard shoulder is ambers, the same as any other recovery vehicle. Are they classed as “Disco” light as well? We all know that it takes more than a matrix sign to stop the motorway as last nights unfortunate events on the M6 proved. There were no cameras, no overhead gantry signs, no MIDAS loops. Just the centre wickets that were there when you were a lad. In fact the whole stretch of M6 motorway from junction 33 up to the Scottish border is like the land that time forgot, so we cant be accused of messing that one up. In fact on my stretch the police are busy away from the motorway most of the time and it’s left up to us to sort RTC’s out, which we do in a very professional way. You could say ta ra to your timed deliveries if it wasn’t for me and my colleagues, and yes. we can still be friends!!
