Rust in Greece

Unfortunately those unique 2 Bussings and 3 MB’s posted before ,were scrapped. Real crime!
I know these pictures taken on last Saturday may make some people sad. But maybe also wake some others especially in my Country.

Hi Costas,

Thats a real crime but honestly when i saw your pictures in the german forum i thought that i could ask someone for saving them.
But i knew that nothing would happen after all.
You remember the Büssing 12000 in Piraeus?
A real shame and only three are left worldwide as i know (all in germany, two of them restored).
Don’t know where the problem was, maybe it wasn’t for sale?
I tried too often to get the “right” people for a project like this and i’m tired now.
Better to know nothing of those trucks rotting away and to be scrapped after all…

Regards!
Jörg

Some Scania generations living together

5 years since we last heard from GR Diesels.

Have any “new” vehicles turned up? Have any more resting relics been repatriated for restoration?

Hey,

Pitty for vintage enthusiasm men, but, but now Greece got EU money to buy better environement trucks.
There is a big clean up of older as Euro 3 trucks, shipping to Africa and other ounties over the world, where they are still allowed.

Eric,
