Do Volvo do a 3.5?Not in the last 20 years or so. Cop cars are usually either T5’s (2.5 5 Cylinder Petrol), D5s (2.4 5 Cylinder Diesel) or lately T6s (3.0 V6 Twin Turbo’s).
T6 Isn’t a V6
It’s a 535 ex Strathclyde. Theirs are all 3.0/3.5.
Top end limited to 155. Had it on a track day at 144.
Problem?
I’m getting the V6 from what I had previously. A 3.2 V6 vectra estate, now that was a machine!
I just always had it in my head the 535 was a V6?
How do you know it was Irish Reg? It could’ve been Welsh Dave driving

To be fair I’ve never seen a truck being used as an ■■■■■■ vehicle, not to say it doesn’t or hasn’t happened, but would you not agree It’s not the norm?
Your quite right Sir. the cap on weight limit for ■■■■■■ vehcles in the U.K. is 10ton then it has be be a box with all the necessary stripes, lights and signs on. COWBOY

BMW straight 6 or v8, they did some 4 cyl pieces of ■■■■ too, but nobody cares about those.
I drive a BMW 530d, and have seen the wrong side of 130 on a private road, not bad for a diseasal

My bad, sorry
But you’ve got to admit you chuckled
Is it just me, or does everyone who ever notices someone else “speeding” always have an ‘ex traffic cop car with calibrated speedo’?
no bmw have a 3.5 straight six or a 3.5 litre v8 in the early days of the 5 series, eg the e34 (square like 5 series) had the straight six and the e39 (curvier 5 series) had a v8.
though tbh you shoulda just got the 540 if you bought an e39, more power + same fuel economy if not better than a 535

Yes but the 540 like the 740 blew the engines on a regular basis something to do with the heads, hows that for some fg boring info

Aww, you beat me to it!
The problem is the rocker cover gaskets wearing away, if you catch it early enough it won’t cause damage, folk that blew the engines though never looked after it, my 540 on it’s original engine is at 181k miles though it is to get the rocker gaskets changed. Either way it gets more abuse on the track than I could give it on the road and it’s fine.

Thats crap…I had 140mph out of a 1990 4 door saloon 320i
Recorded on video as well Good to know an old 320i will
outrun a traffic cop car
A 320 is about half a ton lighter than a 535, and a standard 320 won’t do 140 unless it’s all downhill
What to people search for to dig this ■■■■ up?
I got 54 out of my FS1E with the baffles out(led on the tank)
