Okay, they may not be. Perhaps there should have been a “No” in front of that red bold statement.
Speeding offences are notified to the Irish Authorities though.
That’s if we’re to beleive this document: cps.gov.uk/legal/l_to_o/mutu … ification/

Really? I always thought it was a V6!
Renault Grand Espace 3.5 V6 24V
Usually it’s the Northern Irish doing this (With a Norfolk line trailer on the back).
One night I was driving the works 3.5 Tonner, just had a 6 wheeler DAF pass me (I was doing 54 on Sat Nav, so he was at about 56/57, or about right). Behind him was a White 4x2 Scania on Northern Irish plates. As the DAF pulled in, the Scania dropped it a gear and must have hit 65 before he pulled back in…
Do Volvo do a 3.5?

Do Volvo do a 3.5?
Not in the last 20 years or so. Cop cars are usually either T5’s (2.5 5 Cylinder Petrol), D5s (2.4 5 Cylinder Diesel) or lately T6s (3.0 V6 Twin Turbo’s).
so this truck was doing 66mph ? obviously a mechanical fault, seems to be accelerator related as the driver cant seem to be able to get it all the way down.
Sorry about doing 66 lads if you’d give me a couple more minutes I’d have rounded it up for you!!!
I am here: maps.google.com/maps?ll=54.594499,-5.953411
how long before we get the answer to what the 3.5 v6 is in ?
maybe a vauxhall omega?
or if it was traffic car as in highways agency traffic, could be a mitsi shogun
a 3.5 v6 omega ? and a 155 mph shogun ? maybe when stagedriver returns from the wild west he can let us know.
do omegas go up to 3.5 or is it just 3? ohh yess forgot about the 155 limited part!
You will rarely get a fine and points for 6 mph over the motorway limit. Police take nothing to do with limiters so it’s usually just a word in your ear for the minor speeding offence. A faulty limiter or one set too high is a £120 fine from VOSA.
When the new O license system is introduced to N. Ireland later this year we’ll probably all be doing 56(ish), although I wouldn’t hold your breath just yet.
