Apologies gents but I’m on about huescar near guadix completely the opposite way my iPhone & fat didget fingers didn’t help lol
well now that makes a lot of difference
welshboyinspain:
I thought that way had a weight limit on it now? the difference according to michelin route planner between huesca-irun-calais and huesca over the mountain is 100km but if the mountain is bad whats the difference in fuel?
mountain is not that bad and is well populated with goat and sheep herds
we use it all the time except in winter and it does work out cheaper

On a Scania 112 it was the pink wire whats stopped the speedo part of the tacho with everything else working normal. I had a switch on the dash for the amber warning beacons on the roof, the give away was there weren’t any beacons there.
I’m sure, somewhere in a parallel universe, there was a 112 going around with beacons, but no switch.
My first truck was an ERF E8 - the tacho plug was just under the dash and there was no panel fitted - we were paid % so the incentive was there .
used to leave cambridge at 0030 with tacho unplugged and run to Baldock - plug tacho in - then do the fruit market in london just off the M4 - then reload for cardiff market - the reload at the papermill in Caerphilly - back to tilbury dock - then m/t back to cambrdge - used to do it in 8.45 most days - no speed limiter either lol
only lasted about 3 months then went to work for Swifts - less money but the hours were better lol
