Running a computer in my cab, battery issues?

He probably wants to play Euro Truck Simulator to feel like a proper trucker.

I’ve watched…

This on Ytube. An imaginary world where everyone drives a Skoda Topline 800+ hp blinged up to ■■■■, picking up pretend trailers and taking them to pretend destinations.

As for the origional question about fitting a PC into the motor, I’d have thought a good nights sleep after a shift was probably the best thing you could be doing. What this indudstry doesn’t need right now is another tired driver drifting around all over the place making crap decisions at 55mph.

Yea you got me. I want to simulate driving trucks of an evening cos 12 hours a day not enough for me.

Sigh… fine… back to boredom ■■■■■■■ all night I guess.

The problem with EU truck simulator is it’s only a driving game; ye it’s fun but it’s not realistic.
They should include getting treated like a third class citizen when wanting to use the toilet (Sorry, mate drivers are not allowed to use our toilet but we have a portaloo in the yard behind the skip)
Getting yelled at by shunters/yard marshals when you go onto a new site and are just expected to know their procedures.
Spending 2 hours sat in a waiting room that stinks of BO while there is a 50 year old, 20st Romanian sat next to you who has bad wind.

Is it really a full sized PC or nothing for you!? You could get a Kindle Fire for £50 and read and watch TV and films to your hearts content. There is a world outside gaming

I think he said earlier that he already has the PC.

If you really feel like you must I would just get two of the good quality heavy duty lithium ion jump packs (one for each battery on the truck) so if you do flatten them a bit too much you’ve always got a get out of jail option to get going again in the morning.

So how is that different to this forum? I’m really hoping a couple of members respond to your first paragraph, I need an excuse to get some popcorn!

Seriously though, I agree with you. I know we’re all different and relax in different ways, but I do wonder why one would need such a powerful computer in a truck. Going to the trouble of buying and using a generator seems a bit extreme, never mins the (im)practicalities of using it.

I’m trying to imagine it being set up at midnight in an MSA, or somewhere like I am now, on an industrial estate in Scotland…

People not see him say he wants to use a VR headset as well?!■■!
There you are parked up in the MSA and you see some nutter in his cab walking in circles trying to interact with virtual crap, running on the spot etc etc…
