I didn’t know about the copper. They probably wouldn’t have trusted us lads with copper plate, anyway! I don’t think they had invented the “Euroliner” with the slidy roof when I was a regular at Ebbw Vale. Come to that, I didn’t see many curtainsiders at all. No doubt our pal 3300john will be able to tell us when his friend Gerald invented them.
saw this somewhere ,err some folks just don’t care !

Is that lettering an optional extra at great additional cost ? Or is it D.I.Y. The ■■■■■■■■ Sheeter.
What lettering ,oh zb forgot to rub it off ,err free ,it’s to prevent theft by them ■■■■■■■■■ .

Oh! and while were doing what we do best, “nit picking ■■■■■■■■■■ who sheeted the trailer ? now that’s a new method, a sheet of polythene and a roll of brown sticky tape How do you get the knots out of that when you arrive at the delivery point, how ? well with a Stanley knife of course Dummy !
Or it will be hopefully “shredded” on the way to the drop with a bit of luck
T.C.S.
Brick net Haa or is that yee Haa !p.s the load was on pallets ,err where have I read that before ?
I have to say that you deserve everything that ■■■■■■■■ Sheeter throws at you, Dan. I wouldn’t have posted that mess on here where you know you’re coming in for flak!
Tread carefully Rof ,I may just bring a sheet or 2 up to woodhead next week and have you do a little demo ! ( on film ) .
No problem, matey! You never forget old tricks!
But then again, you never have a trailer behind you, let alone a decent load for me to demonstrate how to do it properly.
Anyway, what are you doing on here at this time of night? Haven’t you got anything to do tomorrow?
Blimey, I see that even Dan has now started to sheet over containers like Dennis’s squadron did years ago! At least it saves using twist locks I suppose?
Pete.
Well I don’t think it too bad for saying I’d been to a wake and still wearing a white shirt / suit and shoes .

So where are you running to to-night Dan ? surely you are loaded ready for the off! I would be off to London at mid-night on a flyer about 46 years ago tipped in Stamford St. at 8am and loaded on Covent Garden for Barrow by early Friday afternoon and back home knackered before lunch on Saturday
, you Young’uns don’t know what work is

I think that they are ok for manure though ROF…
Pete.
Not done roping and sheeting since the late 60s but there’s no better sight than a well loaded lorry. So how would you lads have tidied up the flapping bits of fly sheet on the higher section of this load ? I have tried to work out a way but I can’t
No doubt someone will have a simple answer.
Regards. John.

In my experience you could well be right, Pete. The by-product of all those male cattle, of course.
