Couldn’t resist Mike ! About 47 years between this shot of a 21 year old ■■  and the shot of your newest 20 year old driver! How come he hasn’t got a [zb] boiler suit on then, it used to be “de rigure” in those far off 60’s days otherwise you couldn’t claim to be a “proper” driver :unamused:  Cheers Dennis.PS sounds like very much to me that Dan has obviously nicked those sheets and doesn’t know what they are for, hope I don’t find out they are T.C.S. rip stop blue and any of them have B.T.S. stencilled on them  And I will see if any are lettered M.A. Ponsonby !! (doubt it very much otherwise you couldn’t put up the fine shots of your sheeting and roping efforts)  But if there is any of our sheets you and I can pay him a visit with a pick shaft apiece !!   You’ll have to go first though to take any “incoming blows” !!   Cheers Dennis.

Oh Dear, pull them boiler suits on, looks like pick axe shafts at dawn then.

Hi Dennis, The fellow that used to make our sheets used to stencil STOLEN FROM DUNBARS TRANSPORT PONTELAND, On the underside of them, Because a lot of sheet thieves would put then on inside out to hide the name on the correct side, Mind you these tealeafs were not proper hauliers anyway, they just lived by their wits, & should never ever been allowed to operate among us good guys, Regards Larry.

You are a ■■■■■■■ star LSD !!     Dennis.

Hiya,
A dyed in the wool “red and ruster” pal of mine in the BRS glory days used to
report every vehicle by name and reg no to our office of privateers who got
alongside sporting a BRS sheet or sheets and there were many I’ve seen one
or two myself whether the office followed up on my mate shopping the tea-
leaves I don’t know, could it have been that the wagons in question had at
one time been under the BRS umbrella and the sheets were old stock, I’d
like to think it was the case, a horrible thing would be to turn up in the
morning to find some burglar had half inched your “tarps” and that awful
task of having to “phone in” to your Guvnor, I got through with only ever
having a fly sheet nicked, I got away with that doing a trailer swap.
thanks harry, long retired.

Be better in SoM livery ROF! :exclamation:

David

It’s definitely in BRS livery, David. It should come as no surprise, we all know just how much a fan of the Red & Rust Dennis was!

Well “Sammy o” IIRC that shot was taken late one Friday afternoon after I’d done “two weeks graft in one” which is something that BRS or Pickfords never did eh! :open_mouth:      Dennis.
