short walk:
Got to say Rob what with that Jake tool you do seem to attract them, jeez!
Yeh I know mate, it’s a talent.
However tbf Jakey (whether you agree with him or not) is an educated and articulate experienced driver, and is therefore fully entitled to criticise and give opinions on other drivers, so any opinions he has are relevant.
Where as this guy is something of a well known nonentity on this forum who comes across as a bit of a chump tbh, with zero experience so nobody on here takes any notice of him in any case.
masetheace:
I do love a bit of St Newlyn East, great shortcut through the village for avoiding all the summer jams on the a30. Village centre is tight but I’m in an 18tonner so can squeeze through no problem
Tbf mate, if those 2 cars had not been parked on that first rh corner, I reckon I could have got round with little problem tbh…even though I’m a crap driver.

Agreed, think you were unlucky with the cars. No idea where this low bridge is though, I’ve heard before there is one,as another driver went the wrong way to one of our customers on the outskirts of the village and had to do a bit of reversing

The guy took me back on the A30 to the d/c stretch, took the first exit off (think it was) and was supposed to turn right back under the A30 afaik.
He ■■■■ ed up and turned left back towards Newquay which is where he got us lost.
I did not see any signs for a 13’ bridge, it was the lad at SIG who mentioned it.
robroy:
I know what I do every week, but what do you do?
Take the ‘‘hint hint’’ approach and say ‘’ [zb] that for a game of soldiers’’ and go home?.. or what?
I await with baited breath.
Quick reply please asap, so I can find out how to do my job in future.
You said yourself the yard(s) were unsuitable for your truck (you got stuck).
robroy:
My best one to date when you get stuck in their [zb] hole of a yard after they’ve told you on the phone there is no probs with access and turning round is…‘’ Funny that, the bin man manages ok’’
a) You made it up
b) You’re a crap driver
c) You saw it was impossible but went in anyway (go to b) )
d) You can’t figure out smartphones w/ Google Maps
Oh wait, what am I saying…you live in a council house - you can’t afford a sat nav or a color screen phone
nightline:
Most new professions drivers now have it all sorted
It’s simple they ask someone before they go and if that person says something like
I wouldn’t bring a artic there then they don’t go
Or you won’t get a turn there so they [zb] themselves half way there and make a phone call saying they can’t get in
Sad
Yep, if it’s a farm that I’ve never done before, I’ll do everything to make sure of access if it looks a bit iffy on the map.
Phone call first, farmers not always reliable, so then postcode in Google maps look on the satellite setting, 99 times out of a 100 been ok, even better if farmer or customer says he’ll meet me and take me in…but admittedly not this time , but hey it all worked out in the end, no dramas or disasters…(on this occasion )
DickyNick:
Proper driver would have got round the first S bend with the parked cars [emoji38]
[emoji38] Yeh, but I ain’t a ‘‘proper driver’’ am I, just ask whathisface [emoji38]
How did farms get deliveries 30 years ago ?

Err what’s your point…same as now.
I used to do tatties with a 40’ flat on numerous occasions, pre cab phones, and defo pre sat nav, we just relied on asking locals for directions and info.

I’m in a Max length wagon n drag with a moffett hanging off the arse end [emoji23]
Yes but then one of the retards that bought a house on a building site started taking pictures of the truck to put on the residents Facebook protest page apparently.
It’s the one and only time I’ve thought about going on Facebook, just so could troll them! I can’t be bothered though. [emoji19]
