Nice one Rob

One thing I’ve never understood about these pub delivery wagons is that beer and drinks are not lightweight, so why do they use Volvo FL6 units which can’t have more than 300hp surely (?) and single axle trailers. Surely they’d be overweight![]()
I’ve wondered that as well. If they only run on three axles, why not use a rigid?
As always, a delightful read! But hey, less of the x boxes!
I am unable to access those pics because i have never updated my Windows 98.
(Not really my thing-computers.
) I wouldn’t say my computer was old. But i do wish the bats inside the back, would keep the noise down!
Well i have sold my granny. So will be getting a new one very soon! But until that exact moment, is it at all possible, you could make all your pictures “seriously ■■■■■■■ behind the times”, user friendly I realise this might be a lot to ask. (Well i haven’t a ■■■■■■■ clue if this is a lot to ask, or not, actually.) But i do get alarmingly excited about the accompanying pics. And gutted when you speak of the ones i can’t see.
Loved hearing about your mishaps too! The phone-what a nightmare!
Looking forward to future episodes

I’m sorry but I’m not a tech-wizz with computers. There isn’t any way to make them more user-friendly as they are bog-standard jpeg images, nothing fancy. Suggest you do a search on google for the current version of Internet Explorer and download it free from wherever you find it. Both these sites are usually good for downloads :
good read rob i saw one of your in the traffic on friday at about 6ish going north on m1 at loughboro.

Wasn’t me! I was finished around that time. What were you doing at Loughborough given your recent comments to me about your work situation

From the times I have done dray work I would say that because the ‘local’ delivery vehicles don’t carry as much as you might think (I’ve never had barrels double stacked for instance) they don’t need to be so powerfull.
As for using FL6’s (and other urban artics) I believe the idea is to fit down the (narrow) side of those country pub car parks etc.
Why not use a rigid?? Because think of the time you can save by picking up a pre-loaded trailer and the notes and get going! I’ve used both (rigid & artic) and it’s one thing tipping the stuff but having to load it as well■■? Pre loaded artic trailer for me please!!
The inter-depot trunking runs are done by ‘proper’ big trucks and loaded to the max!!
nice one rob
