I was talking to a bloke there last year about what was going to happen to the Red Lion with the development planned and he said nothing as in the plans it specified the need for a truck stop to be there due to the large industrial area they’re building so I don’t know
That’ll be a first then, councils acknowledging we need somewhere to park ! Whatever next ?
They had a planning application turned down in 2008: “Demolition of existing Public House/truck stop and re-development of the site to provide 148 bedroomed hotel and function room.”
