I didnt manage to get a proper look at the extensions workings. ( who would want to be brave - or daft enough - to crawl underneath
the rear overhang ).
I would imagine that there is some sort of slider mechanism , rather similar to a filing cabinet drawer.
Maybe someone reading this can please enlighten us all .
