RE: CB Radios

I’ve got one but usually turn it off as listening to the same old crap every day drives me crackers. Tippers in London use 22 was handy when I worked for the more cowboy firms as you could get the heads up on vosa

Jafco:
Anyone still use a CB Radio or are they not as common these days?

And whats your HANDLE?

yeah everyday handle is bullet 500 yds from junction 10 give me a shout sometime

For cb users in Oxfordshire:
Ch36 Smiths Bletchington*
Ch5 Earthline
Ch8 Grundons (quarry plant)
Ch34 Home Basers’ call up
*If you hear “(whatever material) please, Nathan” it’s a tipper driver wanting me to load them  Apparently I can be heard in about a 3 mile radius of Ducklington/A40.

I was Black Rat from the age of about 12 - never a traffic cop though! That was late 70’s/early 80’s.

Now G7TGY as radio amateur. Quiet these days as most of my stuff in storage :frowning:
