Poor bloody OP is going to be scared away from lorry driving forever at this rate
Eagerbleeder I was merely pointing out that you considered the air cushioned seat as one of the paramount perks of the job. You have mentioned it on numerous occasions that you get well paid for basically listening to your favourite music while riding on an air cushioned seat. I thought it might be because you have piles, I don’t know but I can assure you that your posterior comfort is more interest to you than me. Hope that clears that peculiar query up
Don’t have piles mate. The only undesirable thing around my ring is you.
Glad to hear it mate
ummmm the piles clearing up not me around your ring. Conversations always seem to go in a downward spiral with you and I can’t quite put my finger on it
The thread is about whether the OP should quit a job to become a truck driver. According to you Alder, you started driving trucks in 1985. Assuming you were at least 20 years old, this makes you a minimum of 50 years old presently. Perhaps its time for you to grow up.
Do you think you are representative of the average truck driver?
Others on here have seen you for what you are. A sad and bitter character. A good example to the likes of me, of what NOT to become in 10 years, so I thank you for that.
You are welcome mate I am glad to be of service

According to one of alder older posts i think you will find he passed his class one around 2yrs ago pal, most probs why hes on the newby bit like a fly round ■■■■■
Good work Seth.
School holidays-that explains it.
Oh no I have been sussed
Alder sent me 3 inboxes the other day asking me to “call it quits” since I rumbled him for lying about having a truck licence. Seen as though he can’t even drive a truck, what he says should be instantly dismissed. I kind of feel sorry for him.
Ooh endgame you sleuth you I don’t know why I thought I could pull the wool over your eyes

I know - nor do I.
It’s a bit bogus though, giving people advice on something you pretend to be experienced in. Like your previous career in IT? Hahahaha
OOPS. Major dish of embarrassment served by Endgame.
Liverpool is a great place.

I should probably leave Alder alone now. I think he feels slightly victimized.
Liverpool is a mediocre place! My missus is a scouser, so I have the misfortune of residing here. Could be worse though. I could be from DARN SARTHHH

No I don’t, I feel that I am learning so much from you and Eagerbleeder. Every time you two post it reveals your level of wisdom.

Personally, if I was you, and I was already earning £400 a week, I would save up and pay for my own class 1 training. Saves you being tied down to a firm and you’re then free to explore more avenues. All the trucks I have driven have 12 and 24 volt outputs. Buy yourself an inverter for tramping, that way you can charge a laptop up or various other items aswell as your phone.
+1
And buy a DECENT inverter! Cheap ones have poor AC sinewave signal generation.
so which one is a decent inverter?

Sorry, I can’t tell you, as I haven’t got one. I just know what the issues are with cheap inverters.
As I said above, it’s about how smooth the fancy electronics produce a SMOOTH wave like this:
A cheaper one with poor electronic components, will produce a more blocky representation, shown here in green.
Now this won’t effect every product you plug into it, but it will often effect things like Playstations & TV’s.
So what I’m basically saying is, don’t base your choice PURELY on how many Watts it CLAIMS it can supply & the prices, as there are other factors…
Also take into account that anything measured in Watts is often ■■■■■■■■!
So if I was you, I’d search the older threads in this Trucknet forum: COMPUTER,TRANSPORT SOFTWARE AND TECHNOLOGY FORUM ( - Trucknet UK
Enjoy!
Nowadays most of the driving schools have an option how u wanna pay.
