Smiths have had a crushing contractor from up North in Gill Mill for the last 3 months, crushing several thousand tonnes of unsold pea shingle into sharp sand. The Cat 966 had just left before I could get a photo but managed to get the crusher as it started the journey home.
Me loading the field hopper at Gill Mill this morning; Planning rules prevent any gravel being dug before 7am so I load off the stockpile until the dumptrucks arrive, starting at 6.30. The washing plant is over a mile away from here.
