Putting stickers over the in cab cameras

^^^^^^I would question the legality of cameras over urinals.
Imagine the uproar if cameras were above the ladies cubicles.
It’s just wrong and open to any ■■■■ ■■■■■ getting his jollies…as for them saying they can’t see anything,.well they would say that anyway.
I’m.at the stage now where I don’t believe anything these type of ■■■■ s say anymore.

Edit…You’ve removed the post now ffs…and made me look stupid
Yeh I know it ain’t difficult to do that.

TonkaBoy:
Removed as topics changed lol…

Changed ? I don’t even know what it’s about anymore.       :open_mouth:

I didnt want to interput the flow between rob and sploom…
however, Id mentioned in one of Evri’s new hubs, they have cameras in the toilets above every single urinal, toilets directly behind, so maybe for them, no idear if remote controlled or not lol, and just shows not just the HGV side of things getting all camera’ed up, just companies for different reasons be it security etc…,

and the question is,

theft ? Security
are they for people not washing their hands ? H&S
taking too long a break ? time management
 or leaving jobbies in the toilet, which if it stops is a good thing lol… but welcome to a new era when you cant even take a crap at your work place without fear of being watched…
is what it is… but would make ■■■■ sure shut the door  :open_mouth: … or maybe not if your an exibitionist :smiling_imp:

Dont worry,he has said what he had to say.
I dont think drivers mind cameras being everywhere so long as they arent in the sacred area of the drivers cab.I take it the cameras dont point directly at the urinals, surely that would be an invasion of privacy…
We have cameras at our place. It doesnt stop people spitting.I wish they wouldnt do it.It makes me sick.I can get through the day without doing it.

I had to put stickers on all forward facing camera’s, to enter Leyhill prison, when I got back to the yard, the boss was not happy as he said it invalidated his insurance…

Yet another company I worked for had no problems, when I had to do the same at the SAS barracks in Hereford…

Not surprised…

Wow! So you know the t&c’s of every motor insurance contract in the UK? [emoji122]

I could never work for a company with driving facing cameras as I’m a heavy smoker.

I’m sort of conflicted over these. Mostly because I think the phrase ‘if you’ve done nothing wrong’ is the first step to a big brother style tyranny. But also accept they have a use. So I don’t know. One thing that makes me laugh though is those who think it means someone is always watching them! As I say to people who ■■■■■ about the lower windows in passenger doors because people can look in at them……the average lorry driver is barely interesting to those who love him, no stranger is particularly interested in watching you drive, ■■■■ and pick your nose

I’d wager none of them have a clause in saying you can’t cover them over in places where filming is legally restricted. So yeah I think he probably was

I don’t think for one second that some non job artist will.be sat watching their drivers non stop…don’t think anybody with common sense would tbh.
The fact that they CAN and the fact they randomly can is the thing that I could not handle.
Call me paranoid or neurotic,.I don’t care, thing is it is just wrong,.and to be dramatic for a second the last nail in the coffin of the freedom of the job…which was a large aspect that attracted me in the first place, then came phones,.trackers and now this crap.
J6st a step too far I reckon.

When the inevitable day comes when you do your first shift with a camera,it will be a but unsettling at first but you will quickly get used to it.

Can’t see it ever happening, Rob will give the game away first.

By that time, you will have cameras to the right of you, cameras to the left, facial recogntion equipement, the list goes on…
