Wheel Nut:
I have asked this question before.

I passed my HGV3 and HGV1 about 1979/1980. I havent needed it since 2009 when old health issues caught up with me, so hypothetically what are my next steps if I could find a dodgy quack?

DCPC
Medical
Digital Tacho Card

I presume by sending a D4 medical form to DVLA it would reinstate my licence to C+E

I am not particularly bothered about going back driving but might do my PSV for a bit of fun.

Correct

So I can do 35 hours DCPC without a vocational driving licence?

Wheel Nut:
So I can do 35 hours DCPC without a vocational driving licence?

You must have LGV C1 C or CE on your licence to do the training
PCV/LGV combined training can be done if you have PCV and the LGV will get added when you get a LGV category

I looked at some local bus driving jobs because they are screaming out for drivers too, then I saw the reason why. £10 per hour and free bus travel, you would need it because you couldn’t afford to run a car!

That’s why many lure you in with free training, tie you down for 2 years.

Wow thats pretty poor! I earnt more than that in care jobs…the free bus travel seems a bit irrelevant if you have a licence lol It seems they prefer to scrimp on wages and treat workers unfairly. I would also be avoiding with that wage offer

A few months ago I actually applied for and was offered the job as a trainee bus driver. As stated, it was free training but tied to them for 2 years.

They wouldn’t budge on the salary so I said thanks, but no thanks.
