Pre lgv training tips etc that you may find useful

Hi lokey,

good luck with your course but i beleive that some has been feeding you like a mushroom.

lokey:
It dosen’t help to no that the examiners in wolverhampton apperently dislike all sterling trainees and try to trip them up (this info from an agency driver who has offered me my first job should i pass),

first point…how can an Agency Driver offer you a job  and if it is an agency office monkey they will get you on the books then forget about you until all the other drivers are used/refused the job as its crap. :unamused: :unamused:

lokey:
this might just be trying to scare me though as i was told they try to get you to back around a blind corner (he says u need a banksman for this)

you can reverse around a blind corner but they shouldnt get you to do this on your test, i do not believe it is part of the test (unless they do it differently in wolverhampton) :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

lokey:
taking corners where you have to mount the kerb (on this he said u must stop and tell the examiner that u will mount the kerb and do safty checks)

you will not need to mount the kerb on your test ( you shouldnt in real life really), just take up more road space when safe to do so. :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

lokey:
is this person in need of a good slapping?

YES HE IS!!!   the bull pooper!

When I was training, the instructor always said, “If you look at the dashboard to check anything, then check your mirrors when you look back at the road”

Great advice all round too, thanks very much ROG
