Usually if something does not directly affect me or mine, I don’t bother my arse….I live 300miles from London, but for some reason I find myself despising this little sh and all he stands for.

No wonder Ukraine hasn’t got a hope, you have Russia invading a country and the rest of the world is in uproar, you have restrictions imposed on Russia in what little they do, you have the leaders in government in Russia wanted for war crimes and yet this boat is allowed to go on its jolly anytime it wants and most times it stops over underwater valuable cables
Unfortunately there’s not a lot they can do about this ship as it’s still (just) in international waters.
I do believe though if Maggie was still PM she’d order a compliment of Royal Marines to board it, remove the crew to safety and then simply scuttle it.
You’d be disappointed.Maggie only just won against a bunch of Spanish colonials because we had a Submarine which no one thought was there.But not much use against land based planes loaded with anti ship missiles which could outrange and outrun a cheap rate Harrier.

The “ cheap rate” Harrier still managed to shoot down 23 Argentine aircraft without loss to fire from other aircraft. All Harrier losses were from accidents or groundfire.
I find some of the previous posts rather peculiar. Those who were suggesting that the UK should stand back and “not poke the Russian bear” are now suggesting that we should sink Russian vessels in international waters?
Is there a lack of joined up thinking?
Or a lesson learnt, that a lack of determination to stand up for others has already made us look weak?
So long as Russian vessels remain in international waters seizing them might be difficult. But if those vessels act in hostile ways to UK citizens, ships or aircraft then isn’t that punishable under Articles 101/102/103 UN Convention Law of the Sea? It would then be up to the Russians or others to defend the actions of said vessels, or condemn them as pirates acting without Gov authorities.
Sitting back doing nowt is not a good option.
Just said on radio 21 % of the population think free gear keir is doing a good job , 79 % think he’s doing a terrible job .

The way i read it is If anyone in the uk on uk land points a laser at at any aircraft or ship then that is a very serious offence
International waters or not there should have been a better response than, we see you, it feels like history repeating itself,
With all this new world of technology and ai i world think that there would be a International law or something to enforce any boat stopping over cables under the water, i would imagine they are all mapped
Nobody has suggested that, you’ve just fallen into your default setting of seeing what you want to see when reading anything from someone who isn’t of your political ilk.
Well that is pretty much what Farage and others want.
Privatise the NHS and change it for a US style system. ie the most expensive health care in the world, with worse outcomes than many other developed countries.
Worse employee rights ie fewer paid holidays, less employment rights, lower taxes for the mega rich…like Farage’ paymasters.
