Young people who work and pay their taxes, maybe can not raise the ridiculous amount for a mortgage deposit, (like one of my daughters) are put at the back of the housing queue for somebody who just illegally rocks up from some god forsaken sh hole posing as refugees for asylum status criteria, ….but in reality solely for the reason they think WE should pay to improve their crap lives at the expense of our own welfare and way of life, and just move into one of our sometimes brand new houses’
People can shout from the top of there voice all day every day but the law and rule is there to be followed
The government is by law or agreement has to do what they are doing why because they have signed up to in some world or eu agreement
The other thing that’s talked about is not being able to afford a mortgage, that has been going on for years and years it’s a personal thing and will always be there and many many people experience it, it changes with the times just like the cost of living and nothing to do with tourists who are not welcome, it’s never going to change
You can be sure that whatever agreement the country signed up to do most of what there doing is compensating them very well
They just don’t tell you that, why, well have a little think about why they don’t, it’s so obvious
Just to add the agreement or whatever it’s called requires a country to pay into the fund which has been up and running for years, so now the country is getting payback and at the same time made to look like a great country who looks after tourists who nobody else wants and at no cost to the tax payers it’s called paving the way for open borders
Yep it has been going on for years not being able to afford a mortgage, but in past times you would go on the ‘‘housing list’‘……when I was a kid most working families lived in council houses, only the richer people had their own homes.
Nowadays (and the socialist apologist can say and refute wtf he likes about it) priority is being given to scroungers from other countries, this house building scheme is all part of it.
There is not enough housing in the UK.
There are not enough social housing in the UK.
Lots of govs of all colours have not done enough for years to rectify the situation.
Some have done better than others, some have made the situation worse.
Picking on RR’s hobby horse, there are currently about 110,000 asylum seekers in the UK, and a shortfall of 1,000,000’s of homes.
Having asylum seekers looking for accommodation does not make anything easier, but if there were zero of them, the situation would not be noticeably different.

Social housing allocations in the UK are not made on the basis of immigration status or nationality.
In general, migrants living in the UK with temporary immigration statuses – such as a work, study or family visa – are not eligible for social housing.

When Starmer gets his way, kicks them out of their 4 star hotels into new houses, houses with the old tenants kicked out, and in middle class suburbs, then and only then (if they remove their blinkers) will these idiots experience what the rest of us do in our areas…..

So the Renter’s Reform Bill is now law, the biggest shake up in the rental market for decades. The RRB is predominantly in favour of the tenant, making landlords far more responsible for their rental properties in bringing up to standard the condition of their properties, putting an end to non fault evictions, changing tenancy agreements for the benefit of the tenant, creating an ombudsman for tenants to dispute rental increases, limiting rent increases to one per year, the list goes on and on and as a landlord of one property and a part time artic driver I take my landlord position extremely seriously, I have all the multiple relevant certificates, insurance documents and EVERYTHING by law is in place prior to the tenant taking up occupancy, it has to be, the responsibility is 100% with the landlord and just as these monumental changes become law and the screw is turned on landlords to comply……we have Rach from accounts backed by 2 tier!
seriously what happends if someone has to sell their home to pay a bill for some reason. do they go homeless because they cant terminate the contract on the property they lease. there by making them illegible for help as they own a property. Can you still evict for non payment of rent or damage?
there are all sorts of things that can happen that i bet these clowns didnt think about because they know it will never apply to them.
So yes, a landlord can evict if a tenant gets behind with their rent or for anti social behaviour BUT if the tenant decides to dig their heels in and go through the long protracted legal process then the landlord gets no rent and his rental is tied up for months. Win win for the non compliant tenant.
If a landlord decides that their tenant is not the quality of tenant that they were lead to believe at the signing of the tenancy agreement but the tenant does pay their rent and doesn’t trash the property then there is nothing much the landlord can do. But if the landlord or their family members want to move in or the landlord wants to sell up then the landlord can give the tenant notice to leave, but only in order to either move in themselves, rent to family members or sell the property. If the property does not sell then the landlord CANNOT re rent out their property for 12 months from the date of giving notice to the tenant, so lose lose for the landlord and hardly alleviating the shortage of rental properties on the market with rentals potentially stood empty for many months. An extremely badly thought out bill, the Tories were complicit in the RRB too.
