The latest affront to free speech is this one.
Now firstly I’m the last one as a football fan and an empathic humanbeing tocindone this what he said, but sometimes it sbest to let a moron have his day to show himseelf up imo.
The guy in question is out of order big style and a weapons grade ■■■■.
What he said stinks…but there are young men in war cemetries all over Europe who died so he could be allowed to speak his (warped) mind.
A bettet punishment would have been to winch him down from a helicopter on match day at Anfield.
I’m getting old & probably past the stage of caring , but I’m not seeing what the big issue is with digital Id , id of thought the only time you’d be worried if you’d something to hide
I just can’t think of anything I’d be bothered about them knowing about my life , as someone said above , I’ve a wallet full of cards with pics / info on me etc
I just watched another bloke on tv having a complete meltdown over Id cards but he didn’t seem to be able to put a coherent argument together about what was so bad about them
Though I’m a bit concerned I think a commie idea is a good one ha ha
its more about what they can do with the information they collate. as a random example… say you are collecting a state pension but wish to go to france a couple of times a year. They will potentially say well if you can afford to go to france twice a year we will cut your pension.
if its in the hands of a sensible gov no issue… in the hands of labor… watch out
the other issue is identity theft. if everything is linked then it is easier to commit fraud
Careful with that Ady, it may seem far fetched but what if the next move is to put AI cameras in your living room and your kitchen under the banner of “well if you’re doing nothing wrong then you’ve nothing to be worried about.
i have just come back from my cousins they have voice controlled everything… and a nice big hard drive that backs its self up to the cloud every day. then again he thought having a lithium storage system in his flat was a good idea too
I’m convinced , though not sure they’ll gain any info from sticking a camera in my living room , than seeing some old bloke snoring away in the reclining chair .
its quite explanatory to anyone with a basic level of english

Yes,
the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is strengthening its ability to track benefit claimants going abroad through new powers in the Public Authorities (Fraud, Error and Recovery) Bill, expected to be in effect by 2026. This legislation allows the DWP to request travel information from third parties, including airlines, and access data from banks to verify eligibility. Claimants are also subject to new reporting requirements for the Universal Credit system to declare any trips outside of Great Britain.
The Public Authorities (Fraud, Error and Recovery) Bill does not directly affect State Pension recipients because the State Pension is explicitly excluded from the new bank account monitoring powers initially intended for Universal Credit, Pension Credit, and Employment and Support Allowance. While the Bill may be extended to other benefits with parliamentary approval, the legislation itself prevents the State Pension from being added to this list through the same regulations.
