I’ve no problems with the Swiss Rolls, Latvians, Lithuanians being over here. In fact I’m looking forward to the Romanians and Bulgarians coming.
I currently pay two Polish lads £25 per day each to dismantle cars and they couldn’t be happier although I did have to replace one of them when he started demanding holiday pay. They’ll be out the door when the Romanians come though, and I’ll be a tenner a week better off. 
25 pound a day each rob , bloody hell thats good hope you deduct meal breaks etc make them pay you 30 each too work for you so at the end of a 80 hr week your still a tenner better off 
Are any of these polish drivers called “Mr Sheen” 
And do they have to “Pledge” an allegiance to anybody

I don’t know where you lot drive but I’ve spent the last six weeks dodging British drivers who go on motorways once a year and haven’t a sodding clue about motorway driving. I’ve also had two (English) artics move in on me before they had completely passed.
What the writers who criticise foreign drivers are doing is identifying a minority - which is exactly what car drivers do to us - tell anybody you are a truck driver and they will mention how a lorry pulled out on them/cut them up on a roundabout/hogged the second lane on a dual carriageway.
Just get over it and remember the middle pedal is for braking.

Oh no, don’t go Dave. You’re exactly right, the off licence thing is really true, they do it here because there’s loads of thieves, it kind of reminds me of going to a goods in window, similar? Liverpool is the only place ive been issued a padlock to put on my trailer when delivering to a supermarket and told to ring in when i was a minute away , i was suprised but there you go. It’s also the only place i’ve had a gun put in my neck and asked for my cash box when i was working. Go start you’re own thread about Liverpool if you like, it might be interesting but this one is about “Polish Drivers”, if you are offended by facts it aint my problem and i’m certainly not going to qualify my feelings on Polish people to you because it wouldn’t make for interesting reading and debate whereas their driving does. I have often commented on the various issues regarding immigrants taking over low paid jobs that the brits refuse to do. so if there are so many jobs available, why are the government not sending our own benefit claimants to these jobs ?
We have a very large population who have refused to work for years, and yet make a living from the benefit system. However, my own work involves collecting produce from the farms, for onward delivery to Sainsburys, and it amazes me just how many foreign farm workers are able to survive on the minimum wage. well, most of them are supplied with a caravan free of charge, ( i wonder if jolly farmer has to pay their council tax ) anyway , they do take a holiday , and most of them are only here to save money to buy a house in their own country, and then return home. It is a fact that everybody gets homesick at some stage, and they are no exception, they dont congregate in the pubs everynight, or spend large sums of money at the weekend on clubs etc, they merely want to save as much as they can in order to return home with a few quid in their pocket, and i dont blame them, for they are very much inclined to rough it, unlike the brits in the same situation.
i believe however that the agencies who employ foreign workers, are using them to improve their profit margins, such as the advert above , taken from the truckstop news these kind of advertisements make me wonder where the 80.000 hgv driver shortages have gone…for you and i know that there isnt that amount of poles driving british registered trucks.
Our own company employs about 6 polish drivers and they are on less money than we are, £4,000 cheaper in fact, i often speak to these drivers, who by the way are always smartly dressed, clean shaven , and the command of the english language is quite good. Only yesterday i was loading at the same firm as luke, and in conversation he asked me about my years of driving, my experience, of the international scene etc and was amazed when i told him. He told me that he didnt have much experience but went on to explain how he got his licence 1. took a motorcycle test 2. took a car test. 3. took a test on a tractor with a trailer…yes really !..and then swapped it for a HGV licence and came to the uk. Our company also suffers from extensive damage to the trailers, but we also have a very large usage of subbies so we cannot always blame the poles, but he did say that once he has enough money in the bank to buy a house back home…then he will leave.
So at the end of the day, quite a lot of foreign drivers, and other foreign workers will eventually return home, with pockets full of hard earned money, for which they have earned legally, and paid tax on.
What really gets up my nose, are the reports in the daily press, about foreign workers who are able to claim child benefit for children who do not live here,
the asylum seekers who are offered £3000 to return home, who maybe will return , the illegals who have been refused asylum and are still here…the indians who receive a pension, but have not paid in to the system to warrant a pension…ie…you have to have so many years of contributions to collect a pension or social security benefits…and many havnt…we also have the health tourists who once here are allowed to receive very costly treatments…ie…aids and ■■■■■■ transmited diseases…mostly the african nations…so why are they allowed to …why doesnt the hospitals and doctors do a passport check…the list is endless as to who should be entitled to health care.
What about the benefits system…why should foreigners who are not british citizens be allowed to claim…why should hook hamza whilst in prison allow his wife to receive benefits to the tune of £1200 weekly. why should foreigners be allowed cars…mobile phones etc because they cant speak our language, and all paid for by the british taxpayer…why are foreigners allowed benefits for years, and yet never ever want to learn our language, thereby unable to find work…why is it allowed ■■
Integration will not work …unless this or successive governments change the rules…why should we have segregated schools…muslims only…this country is a christian country…although we allowed the catholics, and jews to have their own schools…the muslims are being given too much of their own cake…and we stupid english have allowed them to build not only their own schools, but mosques as well which allow the hatred of this democratic country to flourish.
Now i am a great believer of dont tar everyone with the same brush brigade, and there are a great deal of muslims who like our way of life, but the threat of terrorism is real …and i am beginning to suspect anyone of dark skinned appearance, carrying a rucksack, as a threat. so what i propose is to ban all muslim schools to make them integrate…to learn more about our culture ahead of other cultures…to ban the wearing of so called religious clothing such as the hibab…and to make the children wear a school uniform such as our own children have to wear…no exceptions…where my wife works the muslim children are excused from anything to do with the christian religion, and yet the christian kids are forced to learn about the muslim faith…where is the integration in that…to make this country a true multicultural one…then we all have to learn the same values…and teach from an early age that we truly are integrated. And as a final gesture…bring back national service…for everyone who lives in this country…and lets see who wants to stay…and who wants to leave…

This is a real problem though, for every £1 earned in the UK it is normally spent 7 times before it gets back to the Bank of England, thats how the economy works - If all that happens is that they take thier wages and save it in a Polish Bank then spend it to buy goods in Poland, or a house, then we never see the benefit of the money they have earned - why do you think many countries a few years ago would not let you take more then ■■ amount of cash out of that country.

That’s exactly right. It is C+E so you can drive whatever artic you like.
As for the Poles, the ones I have met are willing to work all the hours God sends for very little pay and although that’s brilliant if you are wanting some 9for example) building work done, as they are a hell of a lot cheaper than the local british builders - and they clean up after themselves too.
I can see that this is a very hypocritical way of looking at things though. I would rather get a ‘bargain’ and pay less for any job I needed doing and employ a Pole but if I applied for a driving job and was turned down because a Pole would work for less, I would be screaming from the rooftops.
If most of us are honest I think this is possibly the case for a lot of us.
