The way I see it, those are the rules, wrong or right, take it or leave it. If ya don’t like em, ■■■■ off back to Euroland, simples.

The way I see it, it would be deleted for personal attack, but in fact it would be only statement of fact.

Not an ‘attack’, but the ferry is still that <<<< or this >>>> way. LOL

BIG FLASHY LIGHTS!!!

If you can’t see the difference here than you really ought to think about a career change as I don’t want someone with your bad eyesight anywhere near me or my family on the road!!

Ah, off course, Big Flashy Lights… If you flash, you are almost safe, and if you wear a hi viz on the top of that, there is no risk involved at all. Forgot about this

Obviously someone who was injured in that crash when truck drove into that tire van some time ago (there were pics of it over trucket) agrees with you in full. Well, me not.

I would say that two vehicles stopped on the hard shoulder on nearly empty motorway, with driver walking between police car and his car is much more danger than a truck parked on the shoulder of the busy motorway, where traffic is so dense that vehicles rarely get higher speed than 40 mph and for most of time it’s just start-stop…

If the hard shoulder is blocked it will delay emergency vehicles getting to a crash, have you ever seen how long it takes a police car to get through the traffic when they have the hard shoulder open as part that lane control thing? If you’ve broken down you can’t really help it, but to stop for a 45 is just selfish in my opinion. Run over time to the next stopping place and write an explanation on the back, Vosa are only going to be interested if your running over all the time.

yes, there might be the cases.

See, I am not telling that stopping on hard shoulder is good thing to do. I do agree that its bad, and therefore I think Police should not do it as well!

So your telling me, the driver runs out of time on a motorway in traffic and decides to park on the hard shoulder on a motorway. I thought you could make a manual log when parked up IN A SAFE PLACE. Sorry i think the driver is just brain dead and didn’t use common sense. That’s my opinion

In Germany and Austria now they have started this " Hier gilt Bei staubildungs Rettungsgasse" or in English make a alleyway for the emergency servicies as most autobahns are 2 lanes one goes to the armco barrier the other onto the hard shoulder and thus creates an alley way most of the foreingners passing think it’s for them to carry on their merry way :open_mouth: french car i seen bloody idiot

No. What I am telling is that if stopping on hard shoulder is danger (as we all agree), Police should not stop drivers on the hard shoulder to check their documents or issue ticket for speeding. They should singal them to follow them and do it IN A SAFE PLACE.

I also said, that I am not going to defend this driver, but just that this situation prompted me to think about it.

I laughed pretty hard. Now if only you can find a comment where “dont put a sock in a toaster” will fit.

Orys i wish i could live in your world. Sorry, it’s been going on for a while now and it won’t change. Traffic officers won;t stop them if they felt the member of public would be in danger. Anyway, how do you know that the vehicle there sitting behind is not a broken down vehicle?, I think this is just a narrow minded comment and not thinking out of the box

I know it from this that I see often how police signals drivers and they pull to the HS. Or I see when police release the driver from their vehicle, he goes to his car and drives off.

And “it’s been going on for a while now and it won’t change” - if we all thinked like that, we will be still chasing mammoets with our maces.

I don’t like that “narrow minded” comment. I dont’ agree with you, but I don’t comment on Yourself.

I,m sad enough to try

The German way also allows emergency vehicles to go home again.
