Hi yes DHL self insure - so its best to go direct to the transport manager for the depot concerned and speak to him as it will be his budget and he will be the reason why its being held up - if he has already done his reports then he will know where the problem lies
cheers

It’s been a long time since i did my CPC, and I can’t remember the minimum that needs to be set aside - £15k rings a bell from my CPC days.
IIRC, it was £100,000 to be left deposited with the Supreme Court when I did my CPC in 1997.
DHL self underwrite. If you have the details of the DHL vehicle then you need to contact a company called Broadspire who organise this and deal with claims. They usually pay out very quickly, the driver should have given you half of the bump card with the details on. We Re supposed to notify Broadspire within an hour of an incident.

Now THAT seems a comprehensive answer to me.
Ken.
Your o/d friend is lucky it was an English truck from a bing company that hit him. My story, 28th march last year, 2weeks before the end of going my first year in business claim free was called to information on P&O ferry. Truck behind had forgotten to apply hand break. Not just hit the back of the truck, battered it. To the point the deck crew had to chain it into my truck to stop more damage being caused. I had to claim on my own insurance as other company were playing the no not are vehicle card. Finally £17K of damage and 10 days unable to work my insurance company set off in pursuit of their money. 10 days short of on year later it is now with solicitors and what could have been resolved so easily has turned in to a bun fight which will end up very expensive for other party! My premium as of yet is un affected because insurance company are still planing on recovering all costs from other party! I do have to stop myself wanting to cause seriouse damage to their vehicles when I see them parked up.! Good luck with your claim, if you have a good broker you should only be out of pocket £500 + vat on repair. ( my vat bill hurt, but claimed back in long run!)
