thats damm tidy for a 55 plate
Its about time some of mine got added here, tidiest fleet in Milton Keynes, but then I am probably slightly biased.
Very tidy TC, 'specially the Merc.

It’s a retro fit Repton, afaik.
I’ve been told by my maintainance provider: “it’s now obsolete as the whole blind spot issue was misinterpreted. It was the lense on the n/s that needed replacing.” This was done by the previous ‘Commercial Motor/Hanbury Riverside pin up’ owner.
It’s in for Mot next week so I’ll let you know the outcome. The bloke I bought the Iveco off had fitted a frensl lens to the blind spot window in the n/s door. I have a signed chit from the local Iveco dealer to confirm that this satisfies that requirement.
What happened at test time Goaty?
Sound like maybe you’re getting 2 entirely separate blind spots & their respective mirror requirements law mixed up.
The “satelite dish” mirror is to see the spot directly infront. The idea’s good, but they’re rarely adjusted correctly & usually so dirty you can’t see anything anyway.
This has come about because there have been a lot of accidents where drivers have set off not knowing someone was stood/walking directly infront of the truck.
Also see the infamous Arclid tanker/Renault Clio video.
The n/s mirror law followed it sometime later & refers to the bs at the the unit nearside - the one the fresnel lens looks at.

Passing the MoT doesn’t mean it’s legal though, it could just mean the tester wasn’t paying attention…
As an example, a semi trailer that belongs to one of my customers passed its MoT two years running without any rear triangle reflectors on it, then this year the tester spotted it and failed it…
Paul
Fingers crossed then.

It’s in for test tomorrow PM. I had a week’s holiday (last week available before the kids go back) and the Volvo was supposed to be Mot’d while I was away. Came back to be told “we’re gonna get it in next week for you.”
“■■■■■■■ forget it you ■■■■■ I’ll sort it myself!”
I got lucky with a cancellation at Ipswich (tomorrow PM). So I’ve managed 1 1/2 days work in the last fortnight!
Suffice it to say I now have somebody else doing my maintainance.

Not I governor! I was also sceptical about the “satelite mirror” revelation. I’ll double check with the bod’s at the test station tomorrow. I’ve managed to muddle along nicely for the last 14 years without one, so I’ll take the ugly ■■■■■■■ thing off if it isn’t required by law.
The n/s mirror law followed it sometime later & refers to the bs at the the unit nearside - the one the fresnel lens looks at.
This is the one that DID require a retro-fitted item to comply, apparently!

Drop it off if you’re passing, JD!
no dyno sheet tho?
the only thing that proves is it has had a bad remap and it throws out ■■■■ loads of black smoke when you give it plenty

Sounds like its just been over done, wants backing off a bit. A diesel tuning specialist (Feathers?) should be able to do it.
According to the youtube link, it’s actually a 144 460 that is putting out 752hp. All I can say is FPMSL. The only place that engine is fit for is the bin . I bet an 430 Actros would eat it going up Windy.

752,7 hp at the wheels, 799,5 hp at the crank. So it’s not 850, sorry, but I had air and fuel filters very dirty during the dyno days, I found afterwards.
might be old …but its well paid for!!!, also my reg now reads as a new truck on number plate recognition!!
