Picture of your waggon stuck!

Oh how ive missed you gogzy. You been quiet recently!!

There was a bit on the back as well which read ‘YES I MEAN THE TRUCK!!’
But in all seriousness the little bit we get paid then its not worth risking it. Its been my first time out in an artic in the snow and ice (yes yes you might have had more up there…but i dont live there!!) and there has been more than enough interesting and surreal moments! :imp:

This is me last year started sliding towars the building so hand brake on and see you tomorrow

This is me leaving our yard in Hamilton last Sunday.

This is me in Goole on Tuesday.

Had a lay in this morning !
Night heater on all night though !

after being assured by the farmer that this road was fine and the way to get to the farm!! i rung him up to get a tractor, an he said “oh i thought that road would be passable by now” wtf, thought, you said it was!!! i just want to point out it didn’t look like this a mile earlier where i turned in off the main road, it was white over but twice as wide as far as i could see. when the farmer turned up in a massive fendt (not the numpty on the phone, thankfully) he said there was no chance we’d get through the further 5.5 miles to the farm, so backwards for a mile or so up the hill (hence why i tried it once it got tight) back to the main road it is then!! the bloke in the tractor also told me that they had to drag in a farm worker that morning on that road and to cap it, that the normal, much shorter way was the way to get in, as this had now been cleared. so 4 hours 20 minutes after setting off on a hour drive (in the snow) i got to the farm, well just had to get dragged in the last half mile.

I got some pics of me in the ditch  It wasn’t written that it has to be in Snow

It wasn’t really my fault - I was just approaching the summit on the single carriage way with passing places, when the black BMW (why I am not suprised that it was BMW) has jumped over it from the other side. And I mean it, when I say “jumped over” - he was driving so fast, that he wasn’t touching the ground.

I turned onto the shoulder to avoid head-on crash, but it turned out that it was a SOFT SHOULDER, the ground slipped and me with it.

The boss organized recovery by calling local Isle of Uist tipper company, who loaded their wagon with a heavy stones and borrowed the rope from some ship and then they pulled me out.

I have to say that after all it was even funny experience. Something like riding the rollercoaster.

The moron in BMW never stopped to see if I am all right (if he wasn’t looking in the mirror he might not even noticed that I am in trouble) but what was more strange, they never found him, what is quite surprising if you know that it happened on the tiny island and every vehicle can be tracked by checking Calmac records…

It was fun as on the way back I gave a lift to a hitchiker. He was really scared when he saw the condition of the lorry, and then when he heard some knackering noises. Off course it was only some plastic bumper, but I could see a big relief when he was getting off

nice photos, rescued that lorry from the ditch a few times now

were these photos taken on benbecula at market stance?

newmercman:
nianiamh, your turn driver

   “Tawt” ok here you go then,

It dont look to stuck but trust me it was, oh and this is in our yard   i had a dig around the drives to clear the snow, still not going anywhere
a quick chat with newmercman who said to throw my snow chains under the tyres just confirmed my thoughts
1, he`s ■■■■ mad and 2, its time for bed
was soon sorted the next morning with the boss man and the tractor

And heres my very good attempt at it when i was on for Joke Freight, when i rang in they asked if i had a shovel, to which i said its already in a hole and i dont see what good digging another one will do, never did really get on with em there
