Pics of YOUR trucks

flying_fenman:
…After my first night out in it, I soon remember how great digital tachos are at keeping you within the law.

Fenman, as I dont have a clue about the workings of the Digital tachograph, what info is that telling you?

What you’re looking at is the info on the dash, You can select 3 different things to be shown and check other by using the button on the stalks.

bullitt:
Im guessing that you are getting 11.5 miles to the gallon…

Yep 11.5 mpg, we’re only getting 10.00 with 27tonnes and mostly on motorways. You must have been using Unit only for most of the shift,

bullitt:
not a clue what FE, F, or N2 means…
.

FE means it’s running Fuel Economy Software, (What else would a haulier ask for ■■) An can only be seen with the Ishift lever in fold position.

F mean the gear lever is in the folded position

N2 means it’s in Neutral. Not sure why it’s N2 not say N1?

bullitt:
That driver 1 and 2 have had 9 hours and 7 minutes sleep / break…

Cant work out the 35 minutes box!!!

The display shows only driver 1 info. So I think he’s on break with a total of 9:07 and has done 35 minutes driving in that 4.5hours period. Once you start moving the rest on the left will turn into a driving symbol and show your current driving time, whilst the one on the Right will show you the total since your last break.

bullitt:
That its 6 in the morning…

And you last drove 686.5 kms on your last driving shift!!!
.

It might be 6 am, but it could be 6 GMT as it’s linked to the tacho and the only way to change it is to change the time displayed on the tacho. Which you can do, but the info is still recorded in UTC time.(GMT)
686.5km is the total mileage of the truck, so it’ll be new then.
and the page symbol on the left means there is a warning message.

bullitt:
How did i do??

Any info would be welcome, cheers.

Not to bad really, I only know most of this because when we got ours we had a day with a Volvo trainer. Well worth it as there is more to driving with Ishift than putting in “A” and pressing the pedal and it was free aswell.

cheers rob  i dont think it looks to over done ive just put a full leather floor cover in it and the gaffer says he,ll get some led light bars for under the side skirts and under the front bumper and chequerplate on the chassis

Wheel Nut:
There must be one here I could use.

They come into our place with reels (or ‘bobines’, as they say). I think those new MAN’s are a cracking looking motor.

This was my previous truck, photo taken at Truckfest 2008

Now changed to the one on the left, looks a bit naked at the moment

Muckles, cheers for taking the time to cut, snip, paste and post that reply, it must have taken a while.

Seems abit clearer now!!! Isnt technology a wonderful thing

I think i would prefer the old analogue style to be honest (so as I could be honest!!!  )

Cheers mate.
