Some proper pictures Dan.
Great photos Dan, I used to see Crabtrees lads at The port of Blyth South Harbour end, I remember giving directions to one of their lads to a drop in Manchester, He was a real character this lad, I sat in his cab having a cuppa & he had bars of soap in his spare boots lying on the floor, When I asked him why he did this he said he had terrible sweaty feet & this was the answer to keep them fresh, IIRC It was Wrights Coal Tar soap that he used,
The good old days in the 80/90s, Regards Larry.

That could only have been the infamous Mr Peter Whittaker [aka pigkiller],nice bloke but had some strange habits, was once sat having a brew with him ,always remember it was a Wednesday when he reached into his big food box he always had in his cab and pulled out a half eaten bowl of trifle that he had with him since monday.good times, great camaraderie
If it was piggy he drove a eight wheeler foden,i have a picture of him in his waggon I will post it if I can find it. Dexydog
Some of crabtree old fodens
Sorry ,I duplicated PRJ993R when I meant to post GDJ840V
I bet Rigsbys fellow hazelcroft drivers though they were in heaven in a E series Erf after those heaps of Foden junk ( a dumper with a 5 th wheel on ) !
I finished up with one of those , gutless l10 only saving grace was the twin splitters . I was happy when they bought barlow’s motors and i could go back on a proper foden , 320 ■■■■■■■ , 9 speed fuller and a night heater . dave
I think it must be ,the last I went in there would be with my dad in the Atki after loading lime at Peakstone

Dave Keyworths is a E10 and twin splitter with none air clutch ,he says that my E14 and twin splitter with air clutch is completely different to drive mainly because of the way the bigger engine drops the torque quicker a gear is never missed .
Or maybe a lighter flywheel, Dan? Fancy me getting all serious and technical at this time of night!
And there’s a young chap from Wolverhampton way by the name of Smith who reckons you could be persuaded to cough up for two breakfasts and a quantity of cider at next year’s Gravel Run. Could you confirm as I am keen to add this event to my diary if only to witness the fact that you occasionally carry a wallet.
Rof I can confirm I do not have a wallet, ask anyone who knows me ,seriously.
