Some good points made. Thanks for all advice. I think I have decided what to do… I will do first 2 bits on my own. Then will do a couple of hours with my ADI friend just to brush up on my normal driving. Then take an assessment with my local hgv/pcv driving school Welwyn and see how it goes from there, hoping to get it done in Easter when I am off. I am still awaiting my provisional at the moment been a week so shouldn’t be long

Don’t think this point has been mentioned(stand to be corrected) - does your ADI friend hold an unstresticted cat D1 or D licence. If not he will not be able to accompany you driving on L plates
