PCV CPV

Guys- Can my PCV ( Cat D) CPC be used for trucks?
Looking ahead at leaving buses to go to LGVs, wondered if this is the case.
I’m hoping so as that would make life so much easier!

Hi,

gov.uk/driver-cpc-training

You only need to complete one set of training every 5 years if you drive both lorries and buses professionally.

Yes mate it can I’ve got both truck and bus and same cpc can be used, you can even split it and do 14hrs with bus cpc and then finish with truck as long as you have the 35 hrs in total

It really depends on whether you ticked both boxes when you applied for your vocational provisional driving licence.
