They used to do a lot of work out of British Gypsum at East Leake and Gotham
When truck racing started getting popular in the 80s Malc Bromley was a regular competitor

Morning Dean,
Fantastic set of pics and articles again mate,
Pic 1, C J Morris are from Oswestry I think,
Pic 2, Bowmur Haulage from Cannock, it was owned by Brian? Bowen and Alan Murrall, hence the name, now owned by Pentalver which is part of the Maersk shipping line.
Pic 3,
The Scania is one of Mick Aldridges from Wolverhampton and the E W S Volvo may be one of Lowes Transport from Powke Lane Rowley Regis on contract to Equator Wheels and Sections, another Wolverhampton company, Cheer’s Pete
Thats sorted that lot out then Pete, thanks for your comments mate !

tastrucker:

Anyone recognise the Atkinson ■■?
Hmmmm yes, because it came to one of the Gatherings in Leyland, possibly the 1988 event, but I don;t have the event programme to hand, and can’t remember who owned it - wan’t Morris Carriers, was it?
Here it is more recently: flickr.com/photos/erfmania/ … ist-Jey9my
Not been taxed since November 1988, though
