Hi Dean, I had a little chuckle when I looked at your Volvo F88 adverts. From the mid 1970s,
and for many years after, I used to listen to Terry Wogan on BBC Radio 2 whilst driving the
lorry. At the time that the lorries of " Ferrywagon " were seen quite often, Terry would say
that they were his lorries, and that his vehicle signwriter had mis-spelt his name.
The name on the J & G Riddell from Aberdeenshire amused me, was he Jimmy Riddell ■■
I had many a Jimmy Riddle at the nearside of the lorry if I couldn’t find a public convenience.

The trailers was converted into slab carriers ,years ago slabs were loaded on the bed a few came off so firms put sleepers on the bed and holes for the pins to go in cheers John

Someone replied, sorry can’t remember who but they suggested they may have been Masters from? Well I’ve found another photo which proves you were probably correct. It looks overloaded to me!

Hi dean, The Rewson Transport from dunvant, was owned by Alex Jenkens who had a son Andrew & daughter Alison, he used the last 3 letters of Andrew & last 3 letters off Alison to name his transport Rewson. Reguards daibootsy.

a fella called Ray Moore who was on before him who was also good.
