Past Present and in Between in Pictures (Part 2)

Ba-dum-tish

Brit European from Stoke on Trent, presumably the digger is from just down the road at Uttoxeter, hope he had the bucket blocked, last thing you’d want is a big yellow cab visitor.

Would those TK’s on the transporter have had the 500 engines judging by the air intakes?

Imagine been parked overnight during a downpour then pulling away and stopping at a zebra crossing!

Used to race that RJ Norman Mack over Hartshead on occasions, with our 88/290…..sometimes he even got a bonnet lead on me…..but not for long haha….

Dear oh dear.

I imagine the Bedfords felt somewhat insulted…

What exact model is this one? The cab and bumpers make it a TK, but certainly undepowered with its 136 bhp to pull suh a load!

It’ll be a TK, froggy. Some TKs were empoloyed on heavier work. Perhaps this one has been plated at 28t or maybe the load is Cornflakes or polystyrene. Here’s another one:

Looks like a C reg (1965) so could have a Leyland engine.

We had a four wheeler TK / Leyland new in about 1962 / 63.
