They look like Constructors, but very high on their wheels. Perhaps a special order?
The turntables look very high on the chassis, too. Almost like oilfield or military specs.
LHD, and double skinned roofs so possibly off to a desert oil drilling site or similar??

Great Minds or fools I won’t say!
Hicks Tpt Sed-Atki 401 with a tilt, backed onto a dock in Val-de-Marne, 1990. I get the impression it’s a market (I could g***le it but …)

Those Scammells look identical to the ones sent out to Abu Dhabi.
I will, definitely not the former. ![]()
This is the Trucknet header page on Facebook which appears to have died Aug 2023, any subject clicked prior to that date brings you here.
August '23 would have been when we got this present version which flummoxed many and not surprisingly they gave up, there are also a few who ride both horses FB and TKN there are some old hands on FB who are sorely missed on here. One or two on here who do not do FB for their own good reason and others who rubbish FB why? have you tried it, a lot of really good olden day haulage pages, plenty feedback with likes and comments.
You do realise that posting all these photos of F86s and F7s will upset someone, don’t you?
No names, but you know who I mean ![]()

This style of cab was still to be seen when I was a kid in the '60s and early '70s, in Queensland. I don’t know if the tropical or C cab, as they were known were used further south. I don’t recall seeing a small van with that style cab, but trucks being more expensive would have hd a longer life. They just seemed to fade away. Many was the day in steamy Brisbane, that I’d have appreciated that open cab.
