Past Present and in Between in Pictures (Part 2)

Dunno myself. All I know is if you login in “safe mode” at trucknetuk.com and then navigate your way here, it works. For now. Ish.

Even a shortar se like me (5’ 8" and a half) found life difficult doing overnights in them (the TL was a little better). The D-series was slightly better if you could work out the dodge with the gear lever (going widdershins round the church I think).

Don’t ask me mate, I’m just the driver.

Yep the D series was a wider cab.
Me kipping comfortably across the seats, and the girlfriend at the time lying across the floor…(ever the gentleman)

I suspect (I’m no expert) your pics may be examples of a TK cab grafted onto an entirely different chassis. There were Bedford KM 8-leggers in UnZud but not with that wheelbase.

They look like homemade motors to me

Any one fancy a cider, Buzzer

Quite a varied fleet. Always stuck to the posted speed limit come what may. Ask anyone who travelled the A49.

I think the suffix used to change in September, so ‘C’-reg could be late ‘64. Sorry, nerdy comment.

The suffix originally changed on Jan 1st so a “C” reg would have been 1965. They changed to August in 1967 so the “E” plate registrations only ran for 7 months. I think the change was due to the car dealerships complaining about having to do lots of paperwork over the holiday period.

Thanks for the correction.
