That Scania has Tri lex wheels as well, Buzzer
…or ‘spider’ wheels made by one of the other companies who made such wheels besides Trilex
I’d rather say Dutch; anyway, what an improvement compared to the standard Mk V cab!
Yes, looks like an old Dutch plate.
I like it, but I can’t see Charlie Foxtrot (of this parish) taking to it should he venture this far.
You know much more than me about Leyland Leopards, but this is a 1967 Bristol RE bus and I do remember bus drivers leaving the (front) doors open on hot days.
@parkroyal2100 That Gumboot was once in Summerland livery, possibly as a subby, but ended up in Victor Bray’s hands. Don’t know what happened to it after Victor died.
Spotted these Ipswich transport museum moving a trolleybus in 1979. Nice Scania of Wilsons..

Broms just means brake in Swedish.
Yes indeed. And ‘brems’ in Dutch
It’s tractor protection valve in Australian.
Ah! TPV then. Not to be confused with TVO (Tractor Vapourising Oil)
A Fergie 35 on TVO was the first powered vehicle I drove (admittedly not that well) on a hilly farm in Cornwall.
I imagine they served you well Dennis your first artics
Yes, on National Dyslexia Day 1974
Hiya ramone yes they both gave us excellent trouble free service because we drove them steady and serviced them well, oil change every two weeks filter every four weeks.
The H reg was a 26 ton gvw and carried payloads of 18 ton on a tandem 4 32ft Primrose trailer. The 28 tonner carried 19/20 ton loads on York SL34 tandem axle trailer.
I only ran them for about two and a half years when the Atkinson Borderers joined the fleet in late '71 and early '72. I sold both Mastiffs down into Kent for decent money as they were both in immaculte condition .The Mastiffs got a bad rep from the big fleets but carefully used in the right hands they did a job so you got what you paid for but treated them with respect and they never let us down . I could say they were instrumental in the founding of the future Bewick fleet back in the day ! Cheers Dennis.
