You’re doing this on purpose to me Oily with the AEC’s.
Steam Sentinel, may have posted a couple before, way back. , the first picture brings back memories of childhood and our coal being delivered in a similar wagon and the same company, it may even have been that wagon.

Hi Oily, I took a photograph of Bannister’s AEC Mercury loading at British Oil and Cake Mills, Selby in 1955 when riding shotgun as a boy with a local haulier during school holidays. Unfortunately I cannot find this pic but I often wonder if this is the same lorry shown above or another restored to replicate their original AEC.
Here is a photo taken the same day of W.P. Bell & Sons, Wigton, two Albion Chieftains and their latest acquisition the Leyland Comet taken outside BOCM Selby. I understand the mill is currently being demolished.
AEC. This was taken at Setchy on the A10 Nr Kings Lynn Norfolk 1920s. This area was one of the first places for oil and gas Fracking. The plant was reopened 1972 when the fuel strike was on. The site is part of Kiers yard. kingslynn-forums.co.uk/viewt … =14&t=1738
