Interesting! Some removal trucks were built on Berliet coach chassis in the 1950s ans 1960s, like this PLR 10 (c. 1955).

I think they must have some hook loading pallets for plant to drive on, chain down and pull on to the trailers.
Front tyres indecate 4x4 unit, would make sense. Harvey

Seen pictures of something very similar set up for agricultural use ie towing trailers,muck spreaders,driving foragers, and even a couple set up for ploughing and cultivation work.Some are 4x4 but most are 6x6 and 8x8.
