I’ve a bone to pick with you pv83, ( is that your username or your actual age ?) . Firstly , if you’re familiar with Steppenwolf you’re older than you crack on to be . Secondly , why did you have to “name that tune”, it’s been rattling round my brain? all week . I shall have to consult Fergie with a view to him disciplining you . DaveEy up mate!
Well, if 83 is my actual age, and still being the whippersnapper according to some of you, I reckon that’s the best compliment one can get…
Happy to oblige with those tunes mate, that stuff is much better then the modern [zb] you hear on the radio nowadays…could have picked “Highway Star” by Deep Purple if that suits ya better
Had those records back in the day , I think the son has them in his loft now , he still has a record deck . I had Deep Purple on purple vynil and Steppenwolf Monster with the pictorial sleeve , must be worth a bit now to a collector . Youtube is my friend now , everything is on there if you just look . I just haven’t found a way to dance about to them now . Dave
Thanks to Punchy Dan, Lawrence Dunbar, Buzzer, lurpak, Leyland600 and wrighty for the pics

Never mind H&S it is A&E departments that are already under strain Patrick … Hi Dave
music is also a great love of mine and Sat night dancing was with me from my youth until a few years ago when the twinkle started to disappear from the toes. Crossing the street now has to be calculated as the get a move on brain message to the limbs does
n’t get there, never mind we have the memories, only the grim reaper can take them away.

Some more bonnets maby? Had them back in the days.
The 470 was a real good unit made to do the work, and pulled like a train. And the 460 V8 no muffler sounded like a thunderstorm…

Great photos from Oily & Dirty Dan, Thank you both for posting them, Regards Larry.
I found this LAD cabbed Leyland last week in rural South Australia. I wouldn’t have a clue who built the sleeper extension, but its a tidy looking job I reckon.
I didn’t have much time last week, but I’ll be back to this one later in the year - I might even get the chance to see if it runs!, that would be good.
Dan, what was the problem with the Punchards eight legger that was being placed onto a low loader on the southbound M42 yesterday?
Pete.
Pete the main problem was that it’s not a English lorry ,however yesterday the air con pump siezed broke the fan belt and nearly boiled
, another good reason to run a 17 yr old Foden

Mmm, can’t really see this foreign built stuff catching on to be to be honest! Why does it need air con anyway, doesn’t the blooming cab window open?
Never driven one’ or even sat behind the wheel of one of those non British things, but no doubt somebody will take a risk and buy some? Stick with the Foden Dan, that will never let you down and at only 17 years old it is barely run in and if it is like the ones I drove you get enough draft in around the door frame so air con isn’t needed.

Sure its not an idler pulley seized? seems too new for the air-con pump Dan,
