From an earlier page…this must have been a pre-production Transcon as it is “M” registered and the Transcon launch was with “N” reg vehicles. The only difference I can see is the grille with a notable divider.
Yea i think there were a few of them prototype ones about on test drives both M reg .
Prototype info here fordtranscontinental.nl/ see under Galleries 1 Prototypes here’s a couple. one of them the same motor as gazzer posted.

That Combers ERF takes me back! I used to load bricks from them in the 70s for the first phase of the Metrocentre Gateshead. What a cracking backload after a multi drop load running out sunday, load thursday and tip friday afternoon Gateshead. (No M25 then.) Also the Bartons Scammell brings back memories, I drove coaches for their tyneside subsiduary Hall Bros of Hebburn, part time in the late sixties Regards Kevmac47.
Hi kevmac47, steamers yes, I am old enough to have seen them working for a living, Aberdeen Coal and Shipping Company Sentinels delivering our coal, Council Roads Dept road rollers and Traction Engines with threshing mills visiting local farms, also living close to a rail station, plently of locos.
First driving lesson aged 10 on one of these.

Thats second Sisu could be a character in a cartoon, (no offence meant BMA,) but it does appear to have eyes !!! If it was painted black it could be used in a remake of “Duel” the classic American movie. Imagine those “eyes” in the rearview mirror. !! regards Kev.
