Don’t know what it is but it looks nice, Buzzer.
That’s a Ford Model AA 30cwt. My father drove one with a recovery crane on as a young mechanic in the 1930s at Dagenham Motors, the central London Ford dealers.

Hi, Buzzer. It certainly is Edwards of Lydbrook, who had quite a sizeable operation at one time. They also ran buses and coaches- sadly all gone. If you are a fan of Facebook you will find a stack of photos and information on the firm on a thread called, “Forest of Dean Hauliers”.

0My dear old Grandad drove this for Currie & Co, Who had a depot Cambridge Hall Northumberland Road in the toon, The name Currie & Co disappeared when nationalisation came into force & became Pickfords, Regards Larry.
Nice one Lawrence, I read that before being taken over by Pickfords, Currie and Co bought out Wordie and Co.of Newcastle. Wordie and Co were main carters for the Caledonian Railway later LNER and were started in the early 1800s by John Wordie at Stirling with son William taking over hence the company name William Wordie and Co. I remember them well from the horse and cart delivery in and around Aberdeen, 1940s, then to lorries. Not sure what happened to the Scottish part of Wordies, no doubt dissolved pre BRS.
