Today a collection of Morris vans, all delivering the old Pink Paraffin that most houses used, Buzzer.

The Briggs Motor Bodies Company sticks in my mind with regard to Jowett cars and Bradford van, back in my car moving days I collected a Jowett Javelin from (private address) and delivered to a dyed in the wool Jowett man, the old boy, gave me his version of the demise of Jowett in that when Ford bought out the Briggs company including the Eastleigh factory and later at Doncaster where the Jowett car bodies were made, bodies supply was not keeping up with demand, reasons best known to Jowett and Ford I suppose, Jowett may have had other problems. My only drive was on and off a transporter, but the old boy was not short of his belief and enthusiasm for the make and marque.
Hey I digress again, cwm introduced a Dodge(Kew) here’s some more.

Regarding ECN 73 the Armstrong Cork photograph. If you look on the windscreen there is a copyright notice. This photograph was originally put on my Bill Clowes Picasaweb albums. There was a legend at the bottom with all the particulars of the vehicle, where the photograph was taken and another copyright notice (Bill Clowes 2000).
This was conveniently cut off when it was lifted from the site. I don’t mind anyone copying my photographs for their own use, but to do what was done here was beyond the pale. Bill Clowes Truck Photographs
Model T today, Buzzer.
I would point out that the shot of Bill Wilkinson with his Comet on page198 was taken by me at The Gateshead Garden Festival, early nineties. Kevmac 47.

Maybe the Leyland Comet should have been preserved in the Armstrong Cork Co. Ltd… livery.I know that Leyland Comets were a flyer , but perhaps the horsebox body should have been fitted to a Pegaso instead.

Not a secret that Tracey takes a lot of the pics, especially ‘on the road’ shots as Dave drives the van.

Quite right Pete, Tracy always takes the pics, mostly from the van passenger seat,or walking around at the shows. The only one’s I’ve taken Eddie are on my mobile, usually of poor quality.
Cheers Dave.
