Hi Pete Smith, cheers for the pics  the black and white one should strike a chord with someone as to where it might be, the UJ reg was Shropshire(Shrewsbury) back in them days. I am inclined to think more like the early 50s than 60s.
Oily

Hi Eddie, just going through old pics & thought this was a good memory jogger for you, this how you would remember my Dad from when you worked together  Regards Chris

Hi Chris, that’s a brill photo  , early 50s I’d say, the car is a 1936 Hillman Minx, not sure about the make of tent  yes pretty much as I remember your dad, thanks for that.
Eddie

The motorcar is,I would say,a circa 1938-1940 -1945-1948 Humber,a Hawk,or a Snipe,or a Super Snipe - they all looked alike! Here is a website of
photographs and specifications of these Humber motorcar models:-

The discovery and news of TWO surviving Albion HD57 Rigid Eight-Wheeler Lorries in less than 24 hours - indeed of any rare motor vehicle model -
is outstanding and great!!! - and RARE!
The discovery of the first Albion HD57 came on EBay UK yesterday afternoon,Sunday,6th April,2014:-
Albion HD57 ex-Bulwark Tanker Lorry is for sale on EBay UK,and needs a major restoration. It’s location is Peterculter. Yes. I too had never heard of the joint and wondered where the hell it is  I looked in the UK Atlas:Peterculter is near Aberdeen,Scotland. The EBay UK sale:-
ebay.co.uk/itm/CLASSIC-TRUCK … 258c123ec9

And then,a few hours later,I came across this post of the Albion HD57,Tipper-bodied,Eight-Wheeler Lorry,NJW 23,registered in July 1954 in Wolverhampton and operated by J.N.Miller Ltd,Wolverhampton. I hope this lorry is safe and sound and that it will be preserved and restored! Where is it’s location? Just the name of the town will do…if you do not mind, please

VALKYRIE

albion is near bedford, breaks my heart to see her like that as i used to go to work with my dad and play in the cab! ta pete ps.i own a chieftain that jn millers operated, the only one without a wolverhampton reg!

Great lot of pics Pete Smith  and thanks for offer/use of your photos from the Flour Miller thread and a fine looking Scania from Buzzer
also info from VALKYRIE, tho’ I’m sticking with Hillman Minx, maybe a year or two later, the only thing that I can see a wee bit unusual is the sidelight shape and angle, anyway here’s another 8wheel Albion which I posted a while ago and may be of interest.
Ref. the ebay Albion at Peterculter pronounced Petercooter, North Deeside road (A93) south of Aberdeen.

Hi Pete. The Albion Chieftain with single pane windscreen is a Pilot cab built by Pilot Engineering and Tipping Gears from Bolton. The Albion HD57 has a Boalloy cab I think.
To Oily, The HD 57 Albion at Petercooter is that in Stuart Walker’s yard. ?
Cheers. Leyland 600.

spot on leyland 600,chieftain has got pilot cab[serial no.B1786] not sure about HD57 cos it was bought with cab already built from albion motors perry bar depot birmingham,ta,Pete

Here’s a shot inside the HD for you Leyland 600,ta,Pete
