Henry Tuer’s little ERF 4LK still does the occasional days work when required as does his 4LK engined Land Rover.

I was at the British Commercial Vehicle Museum, Leyland , ( closed for Winter , I know ) , and a De Rooy DAF was there to load
the Leyland Constructor “Popemobile” . I dont know where it was heading . Here it is , as it
s being strapped onto the drawbar trailer.
No prayers were said for its safe onward journey.
Cheers , cattle wagon man.

With Leyland600 posting the NZ pics and the cwm popemobile, stirred the grey matter, remembering David Pope Transport of Masterton, Nth Island and with thanks to Trev Jones whose hometown is Masterton for sharing this pic of a David Pope Scania R142M.

Thanks to Les Chatfield for this fine looking machine, the Pete’s not bad either
OilyWhat type of “box” do you think “she’s” got?
I guess it would be A Fantasy Fuller with no gear stripping problems, fully automatic with variable shaft adjustment, giving constant cog meshing, this combined with vibration control to bring pure delight to the discerning driver
. This is only a suggestion and I am sure Peterbilt engineers would not entertain such a silly idea
.

Sorry Eddie, didn’t last long enough to finish reading it
I’ve put this link on Jelliot’s OZ thread, youtube.com/watch?v=9qPbtqWowNg so no harm to have it on here as well and hey Chris(adr) bet you’d like a go on one of them

Hell, no dozing off when you’ve got those wide loads rolling along, 100% concentration ALL the time. Somehow can’t imagine owt like those round the M25 at peak times.
Here’s a couple for cattle Wagon Man, sorry they are a bit blurred taken though the windscreen on a wet Wednesday morning in Newark
Thanks to “Lurpak” , and all other contributors to this thread.
This 1950s Austin Loadstar made its appearance at the Kirkby Stephen & Brough Easter Weekend Rally , I can

Note the central position for the front fog lamp.
