don’t think they will need those "heaters " for long brian with that much weight over the handlebars .
Should think they got fairly warm chaining it down before they set off - bet the coats came off for that.
Nice bit of bird-caging too.
Thanks to VALKYRIE and neversweat1 for fine lot of pics and info
Early in 2011 I wrote to Traveller Dave for permission to use from his collection, his response was polite and positive. I havn’t posted any for a while, they are mostly from France going back a few years, also Portugal and Spain, so three Renaults to kick off with.

A lovely little Leyland Chieftain which was brand new in the summer of 1977 - that’s its first cab looking all forlorn at the bottom …
Actually here’s a question - I rode in that Chieftain as part of the Silver Jubilee parade in Biddulph but that was June 7th 1977. Could you get wagons registered before August 1st? That was the date for cars on a new reg plate
Thanks to benkku and Gardner 120 for the pics
Thanks to 2E0MCA for this quite appropriate snap.

Well I must say that the Leyland Clydesdales that I operated were second to none , Apart from the usual little problems that we encountered, It didn’t give us any sleepless nights & certainly made us a few Bob, Regards Larry.

John - that’s what I thought too but as I say, I rode it in, brand new, in June 1977 and it was an ‘S’ reg - unless I’m having a major senior moment (which isn’t unheard of).
I wondered if wagons were earlier than cars?
Thanks to truckfing and Lawrence Dunbar for the photos
