Cracking photo Kev, This Leyland is a 1948 Reg & has been recabbed with the later Mouth Organ Leyland Model, It looks in supurb condition to say the least, Top brownie points to its owner, Regards Larry.
Larry, Thats the owner shielding his eyes from the sun, Jim Doig from Dumfries, that old Beaver can certainly perform especially when it hits a steep bank, I followed it over Carter Bar southbound last summer when it showed a Shearings coach driver the way home, he had been itching to get past on the level but the Beaver walked away from him climbing over the summit. Hendersons of Alston ERF in the background.
Cheers Leyland 600
Another angle on the Leyland thanks to trawets1 with others that might be recognisable.
