Thanks to Oily and input from Buzzer for this fantastic thread …Buzzer loved the Hazells of Newport ,ERF tipper …at that time they hauled coke into Uskmouth power station …and Cray Valley fuels Machen …Geraint
Along with the others, thanks Oily, for this really interesting thread. And to all the other contributors. I wish I’d taken some photo’s in my younger days. I’ve only got two, and they’re both over here in Oz.
1000 - Congratulations Oily!
A Plaxton bodied Leyland Leopard which had been new to Ribble in1970.
The last one of a batch of 25 which were given fleetnumbers 976 to 1000. They were registered KCK976H to KCK999H
and as they couldn’t use 1000 or 000 as the numbers in the registration, it was given KCK351H.
Happily, the vehicle is restored, preserved and lives in Liverpool.
Well done to Mr Oily and many thanks for 1000 pages of always interesting stuff.
All credit to you Oily,well managed and an inspiration to those contemplation starting their own topic.
