There must be a story about the two Boxhill Scanias with the ■■■■■■ jeep’s up on the front of the trailer,it’s no very handy if you need one and you are still loaded. Eddie.

Seeing as the Mercedes Gerlandewagon is just about the best off road machine going, I would imagine they are used more for siting the homes than escorting them.

I remember years ago, when MB started importing them, seeing a 'photo in one of the magazines of one on test being pulled out of the mud by a Land Rover!

I think the jeeps are used to maneuver the loads into position .

Evening all, Trev, you are right. The G wagon is quite an off road performer. Sadly, on the road it was not so bright! With the 5pot diesel, if you were overtaking an artic, well if he had more than 250hp, and was loaded, it would take a long time to progress past the trailer bogie!!!
Funny, on Christmas eve I saw a “new”, (62), plate 350 G wagon diesel, outside the Coop in Codsall, sounded, and looked great. Far better, and with more “breeding” than a new Range Rover!! But a truly rediculous capital cost!!!
But I would not swop either for my Jeep Sahra Wrangler, for me the best ever compromise between a working “truck”, and a going out “posh” vehicle. Truly everything a Land Rover should have been…but sadly never was, or ever could be!!!
Good luck, health, and happiness to all, for 2013, I shall raise a large glass of Bollinger to you all!! Cheerio for now.
Hi Saviem,
A question for the connoisseur, how about this stuff after it has been bottled and laid down for a few years, myself I don’t have the foggiest with regard to champers or any other wine product, my preference is for the amber nectar and in particular a 10 year old Aberlour, just about as mellow as a malt gets. What say the rest of you .

Sorry Oily but I can just about drink whisky if it has so much water or lemonade that I can’t taste it but just the smell of malt makes me throw up. I have an odd pint of good cask ale these days and that is enough.
I’ll stick to Leapfrog, thanks.
(when I can afford it!)
