A few weeks back, someone (I think it was “Buzzer”) posted a pic of a Fordson Major (or was it Super Major?) tractor. The ensuing comments reminded me of the first powered vehicle I (14yo) was ever let loose on, a Fergie (MF) 35. Anyway, a few years [harumph]later and a month or so ago, I took a couple of snaps of some tractors in a yard where I do regular drops to and here they are:
Not sure where you are PR, but there is a town in outback NSW that has a statue, or an actual, little grey Fergie as a memorial to the one that saved the town from disaster, floods I think, many decades ago. Have you heard of it or seen it?
I’d heard of this ages ago but couldn’t remember where. A bit of ferreting around revealed that the town in question is Wentworth (NSW), a bit NW of Mildura on the Murray-Darling floodplain.

in the village where I live someone has an old Rover with a flat bed body, I keep trying to see it around to grab a photo but it’s always parked at the front of the house which is probably in excess of a £1m and has large wrought iron gates so don’t think it would be wise to start taking photos.

That’s impressive! Good colour too.
Credit to Richard Says for the photos starting with LHD MAN snapped 2019 and a Scania snapped May 2020 both with a few miles done.

I have just had a look on the DVLA site, and this little lorry is a IFA MULTICAR 25 with a diesel engine.
Cheers, Ray Smyth.
No wheels but a rural scene of a sheep fair on the Sussex downs and if you look at the parked lorries a lot have canvas roofs, Buzzer

My memory is telling me that it was made by a Rumanian company. I seem to recall seeing these launched many moons ago, but not giving them much notice. I might be slightly off track with country but I am pretty certain it was a Soviet era East European country though. I suspect it might just have a Renault diesel as Renault did quite a bit of business with those countries at the time. Still do actually (Dacia).

I reckon you’re right: IFA Multicar 25 or one of the later versions. They had a four-cyl 2-litre diesel. Here’s a picture of one:
