I always wondered who took that photo ! I was not a regular visitor to Droitwitch Depot. It would have likely been during the Highland Mackerel season and was probably 1980 Autumn. Used load out of Ullapool and Kinlochbervie usually for Lorient F and as I used the Plymouth sailing I would get fuelled and washed there.By the looks of it I was outward bound as appears heavy. My backload was light, Fish boxes.

Nice photos of Hymas,i pass their yard quite often at Quernhow,on the old A1.
A few weeks back, someone (I think it was “Buzzer”) posted a pic of a Fordson Major (or was it Super Major?) tractor. The ensuing comments reminded me of the first powered vehicle I (14yo) was ever let loose on, a Fergie (MF) 35. Anyway, a few years [harumph] later and a month or so ago, I took a couple of snaps of some tractors in a yard where I do regular drops to and here they are:
a) A David Brown of some sort (a 990? Hard to tell cos all the badges had either come off or worn off)
b) A FIAT 600 (the tractor, not the car)
c) A Fergie 35 (a posh one this, the one I drove had no roll bar, let alone a front-end loader)

Not sure where you are PR, but there is a town in outback NSW that has a statue, or an actual, little grey Fergie as a memorial to the one that saved the town from disaster, floods I think, many decades ago. Have you heard of it or seen it?
Thanks to pyewacket947v, servo88, Buzzer and ParkRoyal2100 for the photos
